News & Announcements

Interest in the Waukesha Education Foundation’s grant program continues to be strong.  In 2013, we reviewed thirty one proposals requesting over $72,000 in funding for a wide array of district projects.  Due to limited funds, we were only able to fund $15,500 in grants, but we are excited by the ways in which these twelve projects will benefit  Meadowbrook, Whittier, Blair, and Hillcrest elementary schools, Butler middle school, North, South, and West high schools, and Harvey Phillip alternative high school and the juvenile center.  Projects will support student learning in mathematics, literacy, physics, music, health and safety, and other areas.  We anticipate that hundreds of students will be impacted by these exciting new programs.

As our Foundation endowments grow, we will be able to support an increasing number of worthy projects, supplementing the limited resources of the Waukesha School District.  We encourage everyone to support the Foundation in these efforts by making a contribution to the General Endowment, to one of the specialized funds supporting fine arts, technology or school libraries, or to the alumni, family, and friends funds for the high schools.
