The Waukesha Education Foundation is teaming up with the School District of Waukesha Wellness Program to present the “Second Annual Strive to Thrive” Run/Walk and Wellness Fair. The event, to be held Saturday, April 21 at North High School, will appeal to a variety of wellness and fitness enthusiasts!

Waukesha and surrounding area runners will have a chance to compete in a 5K chip-timed run. A 3K family walk and a 1-mile student run will round out the options for exercise enthusiasts. A 4K Family Kite fly sponsored by the School District of Waukesha Early Learning Department will add to the day’s fun.

In addition to those active outside offerings, much will be going on inside the gym! Participants can visit many vendors, learn about wellness-enhancing strategies, and gain chances to participate in a raffle for a variety of valuable prizes. Vendors represent chiropractic, dental, nutrition, massage, fitnesscenter, and many more aspects of wellness. Many vendors will offer demonstrations and free samples. High quality bike helmets will be sold at reduced prices, and trained volunteers will fit those helmets to ensure maximum safety.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Waukesha Education Foundation to help carry on the tradition of funding grants and scholarships for students in the School District of Waukesha.
